I have new info for my talk on AI at the ABA conference in San Jose. Bad weather in Phoenix had everything delayed, but I had a 4 hour layover so this was no big deal, but airline AI kept trying to rebook me on multiple flights that would have had me arriving in San Jose at midnight,

One of the great strengths of science fiction is that we allow people to consider difficult, uncomfortable topics, but at arms length because it's about aliens or elves or on another planet or in a fantasy world. That way it feels less confrontational for people.

Had a great game last night, but my team got our clocks cleaned before _some_ of us made a strategic retreat. Not that I could do that much in a straight up fight. My character survives with stealth and guile and sometimes out and out betrayal.
