It is such a tragedy my favourite book of all time — 'I Deserve This', by Dr. Synergy Myers — never received a finished audiobook release.

Have you ever tried a DJ program like Mixxx for that? mixxx.org

You can organise stuff into “crates” and/or playlists, might be handy. Works with keyboard shortcuts too, you wouldn’t necessarily need a DJ controller.

Also, haven’t tried this, but you can stream directly from there

I implemented my own VOX ADPCM (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialogi...) encoder and decoder in Rust! The purpose is to apply the sound quality of a codec to a sample—in this case, it's a 4-bit telecommunications algorithm that sounds fizzy and crackly
