My best IRL friends never started with "hey what's your name" or "hey..." they started with "Wanna do this fun thing with me?", bantering despite being total strangers, or a notice of mutuak interest & striking up a conversation on the topic.

Never once, romantic, or platonic, did it involve "hi".

My best friends and closest relationships over the years never once had a "hello" even when we were building those relationships, we just continued conversations later having no need but subtle physical nods at most. Strangers & friends in informal situations, don't greet me, pls, just talk to me.

Lesser known fact about me: While I like to socialize, I genuinely hate irrelevent small talk (how's the weather?). I get annoyed when greeted with a "hello" it feels like an "I love you". It's an intrusive pressure and typically I will give wave if in a good mood, usually though, I do nothing.

I mean.... can always have two accounts lol. I by example only have IRL friends and family on facebook, close friends are aware of the vchoobing but they dont use any other social media sites (luckily lol).

IRL I use hearing and smell mixed with guessing. But any overwhelming smell or sound, throws off how I have learned to see and move.

One thing not talked about too often is explaining eyesight issues of the blind (who aren't completely blind, but are not sighted either). While I can't speak for others I know for my condition, I can only see one object in focus, anything else is double vision. The object moves it can double too.

It also has been a difficult year with the oassing of my main cheerleader and support network all passing away or moving far away. So, I'm just in a deep transitional period trying to find ways to bring myself up on my own, while also working with my many highs and lows.

A reminder that I am still working behind the scenes here and there on the audio dramas I did casting for earlier this year. It is a slow process and burnout is a real thing when you are a one man studio and missing one voice to each story. I have put a lot on pause but hope to release b4 Oct 2026.
