Vast profits exported, Britons stare at sewage in rivers.
If the government wants economic growth it must bring essential industries into public ownership
Successive governments clobber households and small businesses by hiking interest rates to manage inflation, but don’t inconvenience corporations.

Cymydog newydd arall - Alarch Dof.
Another new neighbour - Mute Swan.
#Caerdydd
The image shows a white swan gracefully gliding across calm, rippling water. The swan’s reflection is visible on the surface, and it leaves a gentle wake behind as it moves forward. The water has a silvery-blue tint with wavy reflections of light.

Ah thank you, bluesky’s built-in translation gives me “If the heart does not die, the way will not be born.”

‘The Bank Clerk’ (Uncollected Poems, Bloodaxe Books)
Text of poem -

The Bank Clerk.
It was not the shillings he heard, But the clinking of the waves In the gullies and rocks of Pwll Du. Turning them over To the customers at the counter He offered them the rich change Of his mind, the real coinage Of language for their dry cheques.
Punctually in the evenings At Pennard he returned to The poem's sum, wrestling with it For delight, but with the sea's Care, that on the blank sand Tots itself.
Clerks, businessmen,
Grousers about the cost
Of a poet, he has balanced honourably His accounts, but - what about you?

I don’t see that as a reason for criticism. If you go back far enough, we all are immigrants - especially the nation that gave birth to cricket.
