New video! Today marks the end of AOL Dial-Up. Because after over 30 years, the service is being retired. So I thought I'd try to dial into the service one last time before we say goodbye.

youtu.be/ipjvVGEfYn0
a YouTube thumbnail featuring a modified screenshot of the AOL Dialer program. On it is the old "Connecting" screen from '90s-era AOL clients, with the modern AOL logo at the top. To the left is an image of an AOL CD, with text on it that reads "RIP"

New video! So it's somehow possible to upgrade from Windows NT 3.51 directly to Windows XP - without going through NT 4 or 2000. And in today's video, we're gonna try it out and see if it works!

youtu.be/zx5JW4Eh2pg
a YouTube thumbnail featuring the Windows NT 4 and XP logos, along with the logon screen from each version. In between them is a red arrow.

New video! It's about time we did another Windows Upgrade Saga video. And with Windows 10 going out of support next month, I couldn't think of a more proper send off than to spend several hours upgrading through every version of it!

a YouTube thumbnail featuring 2 Windows 10 logos with a red arrow between them, on top of an image of the Start Menu. At the top is text that reads "10 Upgrade Saga"

New video! Back in 2007, Google released a Linux distro centered around their various web services. Except... well, they didn't. But somehow gOS became a thing anyway.

New video! So today we're gonna find out if the 1st gen Intel Compute Stick can run Windows 11. It doesn't seem like it... but it's worth a try, right?

New video! To celebrate 30 years of Windows 95, I tracked down the super rare Special Edition copy that was given out at the launch event in Redmond, WA. So let's open it up and do a good ol' fashioned OS install!

Dial-up Internet to be discontinued
AOL routinely evaluates its products and services and has decided to discontinue Dial-up Internet. This service will no longer be available in AOL plans. As a result, on September 30, 2025 this service and the associated software, the AOL Dialer software and AOL Shield browser, which are optimized for older operating systems and dial-up internet connections, will be discontinued.

This change will not affect any other benefits in your AOL plan, which you can access any time on your AOL plan dashboard. To manage or cancel your account, visit MyAccount.

New video! Today we're taking a deep dive into the Microsoft Zune. What was supposed to be Microsoft's answer to the iPod ended up being a failure of a product that people love to point and laugh at today. But was it really that bad?

New video! Today we're exploring a Japanese-exclusive phone from 2011 that runs Windows 7. And no... I don't mean Windows Phone 7. This thing has an x86 processor and is even capable of being hooked up to an external display. Easily one of the coolest phones I've ever seen.
