Official injunction from J. Ilston. It’s long, but on the last two pages, it talks about depts having to submit updated RIF plans by 11/4. Also mentions parties discussing date to have evidentiary hearing on the layoffs at DOI & patent dept since gov claims these were planned prior to the shutdown.

The 2,000+ positions & 89 comp areas DOI listed in court docs are only those that fall under the TRO, comp areas represented by unions that are plaintiffs. Lots of other positions not covered. GovExec article states “The newly revealed details lay out only a portion of the total expected RIFs.”

I’m still confused whether our union is covered under this TRO. I’m thinking probably not.
