I saw it! I maybe wasn’t quite as enamoured as you, but it definitely looked and sounded amazing (& Indy was great, obvs!). Though I might have just been a bit too distracted by this one guy’s illuminated Apple Watch in my peripheral throughout the film to have focused fully… 🤬

Never seen a bad Patti Smith gig! She’s absolutely magnetic. Ahh, this one completely passed me by :( Just looked at the setlist with all those Television covers! Alice Cooper also wheeled out Depp for an encore earlier this year, which maybe made more sense but was still no less unwelcome…

Biggles was the first film we ever rented on video! From Revolver Video (I think) on Gosforth High Street... Pretty sure I was underwhelmed. Had forgotten it was a sonic weapon, would be intrigued to hear that again…

I liked it, but I was maybe mis-sold (or I’d misinterpreted it) as being more sci-fi than it was. Fully on board with its themes etc, and the kids were fun to hang out with, but I dunno, it was perhaps too reserved/measured in execution. But yes, it did look great!

Yeah! I’m yet to try a “sesh” with them. Could have happily stayed for more last night but then the lack of alcohol meant much better clarity in the “actually, time to go” decision… :)

I don’t drive, but I do like not having hangovers! My girlfriend has quit for good, so it was partly solidarity, but I’m back to work this afternoon so that also played a part in the decision. It was pretty easy & I still had a great time! Ended with an AF pale ale as a treat before bed :)

First time not drinking at a festival (Supersonic) and not staying until silly hours at the afterparty & I have to say that feeling this fresh on a Monday is something I could/should get used to… Other benefits: no time lost queuing at the bar or getting annoyed when they run out of beer…
