Okay, so it looked like Parker Kelly stuck his stick into the air and hit Malinski's clearing attempt down and into the bench, which saved the Avalanche from a delay of game penalty.

I think it's safe to say Buffalo had a better first period than the Avalanche, but nonetheless, we are still tied. The Avs will have to finish killing off their third PK of the day to start the middle frame.
