Literally the entirety of late 2000s-2010s sonic culture basically slapped a lot of ableist crap on his back because he had the most boring campaign in a 25+ year old slightly-flawed Dreamcast game.

Thank god we're (mostly) out of that era. Not gonna forget it though. Those people aren't slick.

Seriously, being a Big fan back then was rough stuff.

Dude's just a chill guy. His campaign may have been the weakest of SA1's offerings but man, nowadays it's so hard to go back to any 2010s Sonic YT content because of how characters like him were portrayed.

While I've definitely criticized the dumb revisionist takes that have come with Sonic community discourse in the 2020s, I can definitely appreciate some things that have come with the current climate

My favourite character no longer being seen as mentally deficient is one thing I def appreciate!
