I just finished my latest projects…. coordinating #tablerunner and #tabletopper, making use of some leftover cotton print remnants paired with white tone-on-tone squares to create a #tumblingblock effect. The topper is bordered with small #hst’s leftover from the piecing.

This is a matching table runner and table topper sewn from scrappy, colourful rectangles and white tone-on-tone prints to create the impression of tumbling blocks. The square topper has a border of hst’s which were a result of the stitch and flip corners used to form the pattern while the runner has a white border. Both are bound with a mottled navy print. The back is an unbleached muslin.

It’s that time of year….. #pumpkins, #mapleleaves and #blackcats. All are on this #pieced and #quilted #tablerunner just in time for celebrating #thanksgiving and decorating for #autumn. #quiltsky

This table runner is pieced and quilted, featuring a row of pumpkins with a lazy black cat stretched out in front of them. Maple leaves in fall colours fill the corners, connected by a border of dark green fabric. A mottled green binds the outer edges.

This #tablerunner was made using a variety of 3 1/2” squares (3” finished) each intersected with a contrasting narrow strip of fabric. They are arranged so the colour gradient is from dark to light. #artquilt

I love this cute teddy bear. She is prim and proper with her crisp bowtie and is proud of the Sawtooth Star prominently displayed on her tummy. Made up of 2” squares it is just the right size to hang on a wall in a nursery or child’s room. #quiltsky #quilt #wallhanging #teddybear #patchwork

I had (actually still have!) a container full of triangles so I sewed them together to make squares, trimmed to 2” and made this #tabletopper #wallhanging #quiltsky #etsyseller #madeincanada #scrappyquilt #hstblock #CanadianMakers, #EtsyCanada, #ShopCanadian, #SupportLocalCanada.

This is a wall hanging or table topper made from leftover triangles of fabric which I sewed into squares. They form hst star blocks which are sewn together with narrow sashing between. It’s colourful and scrappy.

Another #WIP. This is just a little over half of an unfinished #quilt. There are 48 different fabrics used and I am quite sure I have enough other #batiks to make all of the 80 required blocks from a different fabric. But maybe 2 each of some of them would be ok…. #quiltsky #etsyseller #scrappyquilt

This is the start of a quilt using a variety of batik prints in a variety of colours. So far all the blocks are cut from a different batik to give a really scrappy look but I am considering whether to duplicate some of the blocks.

This is a pieced and quilted wall hanging made of 2” squares and half square triangles to form a tree. The green fabrics form the leaves while the upper background has a pale blue for the sky, and beige prints form the earth below. A strip of “grass” borders the bottom edge and even a couple birds are nestled in the branches.
