I think both things can be true. The Panthers aren’t playing in 26 or 27 and a new market is. At the same time, it is hinted in the email that a new venue opportunity could see the Panthers return for 28. AlumniFi Field will open in spring of 27 (we all hope).

Michigan Panthers will not play in 2026. UFL leaves the door open to a return if a suitable venue (AlumniFi Field) comes available.

This Saturday will be the 103rd meeting of Eastern Mich and Central Mich. They first played in 1902, but THERE WAS DRAMA.

Both schools were Normal schools (teacher training schools), but EMU claimed that Central played a professional football player, and that's why they won.
