Did some tests of using a glaze made from clay and wood ash from my backyard as an overglaze, came out way better than I thought!

So I got annoyed I was short a frit to mix up some glazes so I wound up starting the build of a soda kiln instead lol

A section of ground cleared and leveled in preparation of laying the cinder block foundation of the kiln

First cast came out pretty good for the mold still being wet, gave it a 5min cast time with own casting slip mix. Once the mold has fully dried it should work really well!

Oh Gods yeah, my work has changed policy/procedure a few times without telling people and like why, couldn't they just send out new written instructions instead of just getting annoyed we are doing it the old way😭

I've dealt with a similar issue because my bedroom door is hollow core with a gap below, a thick/fluffy comforter put over the door help an ok amount, also works for over windows.
