On that note: do I have a set style for each of them? Yes. Aki is very comfy/cozy and practical. Very rarely is she wearing something elaborate. Kali is a fan of form fitting or “leave nothing to the imagination” wear. Ysa is probably the most elegant of them all, opting for metal trim or jewelry.

I’ve been pondering on this for a bit. By the end of Dawntrail, Aki is near 40. But I’m also of the belief that more time passes during and in between expansions than is hinted at. Kali is in her mid twenties when she meets Caill. #xivlorebook

He eventually turns the tables on their control over him, making him a little cocky and arrogant (but I swear he has a sweet heart 🥺). He still plays the dutiful son but with a bigger allowance. After all, they bought him for his potential, stoked it, he’s sure as hell gonna use brute force.

When he was a teenager he was sent to Limsa to learn discipline but came back with one hell of an axe arm and no respect for authority, made worse by the fact that he towered over his parents.

Ymir spent the first year of his life in Kugane until his “adoptive” parents decided it was time to return to Ul’dah. His mother was strict and had everything organized for him: from meals, to education, down to his very appearance. He was a troublesome child in his early years.

Thinking about how every time she leaves, Aki sends books back via post moogles. Ymir often ends up with exhausted moogles on the front step, satchel overflowing, and there’s always a note and a treat for him. She’ll never know how important that is to him or that he’s kept all the notes.

I have her father’s son standing guard outside. I’m thinking she tricked him into working for her a la WoL vs Zenos. He wanted a fight but she would not give it to him until certain conditions were met. Ymir takes care of the shop while she’s away.

I built Aki’s house with the thought that she would be doing something in between her favors for the Scions. It’s a library/apothecary, home to the hundreds of tomes she’s come across in her travels. Her apothecary covers most basic first aid supplies and a variety of herbal teas. #xivlorebook

Kali being the loud-mouthed mystel she is is quick to call it out, which only succeeds in making a fool of herself.

Aki simply removes herself from the situation. While she doesn’t experience jealousy very often, used to being an after thought, she is quick to notice when it bubbles up and leaves the presence of whatever is causing it. #xivlorebook
