Maybe I'll find myself smiling, on that distant shore.

It feels warm and comfortable, and safe. It was taken on one of the happiest weekends of my life and that’s the feeling I’m trying to portray here.

There are photographers I look up to. Craig Whitehead, Kyle McDougall, Jason Kummerfeldt, among others. And while I adore their work, The most freeing revelation I've had is being able to say that yes, their work is good, but my work does NOT have to look like their work in order to also be good.

I'm having a think about my next photographic project, and I'm thinking of extending this series, creating a honest look at the more humble parts of Australia: Shitty bottlos, unused payphones, abandoned houses, graffiti covered signs.
