Yes. We've lived through a shameful two years.

The National doing The National thing.

A first look at tomorrow's front page of The National 📰

How genocide happened
mja66.bsky.social
Yeah... not good. Never meet your heroes, and all that. What a knob.

I think his daughter is Max Verstappen's partner.

Didn't he also make racist remarks about Lewis?
mja66.bsky.social
True. He's a collosal prick.
mja66.bsky.social
I didn't really see it that way but I get why others did.

But it's all very homogeneous now. That and the schmaltzy, saccharine, Americanised commodification of it now just isn't for me.

'The edge' is rarely there. The European soul and circuits are being slowly marginalised in favour of bling.

What a driver!

I caught some old footage of him the other day actually.

There's quite a few here on Bluesky who remember the older drivers.

I re-watched the Senna documentary the other day and it brought back some memories. Not all great but a great film.
mja66.bsky.social
Really? I'm too far in! Watched F1 since the days of Senna, Prost and Mansell. Last went to Silverstone in '21.

I moan about it alot now but can't break free. You know how it is?

What a day. Still have my flag...

@dean5150.bsky.social

This just came up on my feed. Remember it like it was yesterday.

What a day for Damon, Williams and Sir Frank.

And Murray getting emotional!

Ironic. Much.

Precisely. He couldn't give a toss about Wales, its people or issues.

"Turned on" by bloodsports? 🤢😡

Nigel Farage should tell the people of #Caerphilly about how he wants to abolish the Senedd.

Actually, no need, we have a video of him saying it.

(Also about how Fox Hunting turns him on).
mja66.bsky.social
Shouting 'stop the boats!' not helping then?

We live every post-Brexit day with the evidential consequences of Farage's economic and political illiteracy and vandalism.

Only masochists and the feeble-minded could possibly invest any political faith in Farage's vacuous personality cult.

🤡

Yes... the day itself is lovely. The build-up in its current, rampant, voracious form is torturous.

Coral reefs are at a tipping point after surging global temperatures
Record-breaking ocean temperatures have caused widespread bleaching and death among warm-water corals, which could have far-reaching consequences

So many towns and communities in Wales continue to suffer chronic socio-economic problems as a result of years of zero investment. They need thoughtfully planned, long-term solutions.

Ask the residents of Clacton about Farage's commitment to anything beyond his own advancement.

I quite enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Although I'm always kind of relieved to be done with it when it ends.

Plus, it doesn't have the same buzz to it for me personally without certain people who've passed.

It's the relentless, tacky commodification of it that really grates.
mja66.bsky.social
That's a matter of some debate!

But thanks.
mja66.bsky.social
Agreed.

But in the Shires and constituency clubs there must be those Ken Clarke and Heseltine types who are wondering where it all went wrong. Still fantasising over Thatcher.

The old die hard, blue rinsed mob.

I'd love to know what they're thinking. How alienated they must be.
