Imagine if Jacky had the opposite problem as a teen, assuming she had caring parents, and she kept being accused of sneaking out at night to see her troubled bf Herman when in fact she's been in bed asleep the whole time 😆

I was in same boat as you. Backgrounds are not my forte, but the server definitely inspired me to try, and I've had fun with world-building and creating settings! Great energy there if you like being in an artist community 😁

Server member- Don't have to draw backgrounds which are required for the challenges & zones aspects of the server (sort of a role play choose your own adventure but w/ rules to progress).

There are plenty of channels/threads to host your OCs, character interactions, outside the challenge areas 😊

In Heth for Dima, I took idea of lightning bugs and a terrarium and made Light Mites. In exchange for food/housing they'll live there and provide infinite light as long as the colony can thrive. They only need some dry sand and minor foliage.

More animation practice, of course. Obsessed right now.

I think this is more common in the graphic design world- any logo designer, typographer, graphic designer, would absolutely make you pay more for layered and/or editable files. At least as freelancers. It's how you get return customers. Give away the recipe they can take to another chef to use 😅

I'd also like to do a random outcome adopts event and we need more members for that (you do have to app). I'm reluctant to fish here for people because I'd rather artists join Heth if they're interested in the server, but yeah.

I remember the phone # to the business my mother owned from 1996-2005 as well as my Nanny's (RIP) that I've not dialed in a decade.

But couldn't tell you, w/o some thought, what my sister or parents' cells are now even though we text weekly 😂

U.S. Healthcare is already abysmal... Not only do they make insurance and costs convoluted and unaffordable, but there's no single place/site to PAY for those bills.

You have to have a log-in for every individual provider/hospital which is so, so annoying 😤

I think it'd be so much more useful for myself and fulfilling. I don't have the space or equipment to learn on my own now though.

I'd never abandon art! I'd infuse it into what I build for sure. But I love practical art that can be used.

Maybe I'm just burnt out by screens 😐😅

I know this is weird to say, because I am a graphic designer full time even though I dreamed to be an Illustrator, but if I could go back and do a different degree/training course, I would do carpentry or some trade similar.

I wish I could build stuff with my hands, furniture, upholstery, etc.

How do you get that crisp ring around the edge? My Nanny used to make hers like that, albeit smaller, and I've not been able to replicate. Are they cooked in oil?

It will! Especially if you allow yourself to sway and flex. Might get a squishy mat for your feet though!

I had one at my previous job, and I stood half the work day without conscious effort. It became a natural preference!

The hard part is not leaning on one leg a lot tho 🤔
