I drove from Pittsburgh to Midland, Ontario to take a class with Sharon MacKinnon. We met when she reached out to me about a mutual contact. I looked at her profile on Instagram and loved what she shared and all of her tips. This is one of the results from that class.

A watercolor painting I did this week of St. Michael’s, a Catholic church in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. It started to rain and added to the depth of the painting. It reminded me of learning in Rome from
Carol Robb, a Scottish painter living in Venice.

Today’s #dailypaintings. I was thinking of two places, in the first a place my friend Katja took me in #Croatia. I also thought of a beach in #CinqueTerre, Italy where I swam. The next painting happened because I had leftover paint. It was Lido Beach in #Rome that my heart remembered.
