Looking for colour guides to paint your WW2 miniatures? I do have a few of those over on my blog and am constantly *ahem* adding new ones. If there's a particular uniform you're after which I haven't done yet, just let me know in the comments. moitereisbuntewelt.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.ht…

Well, now it's a river bed 😂

It was a pleasure to have the three of you joining in the frenzy! Looking forward to April, Daniel

OK, I'm particular to Free League stuff anyway, so I know where my next paycheck will go

It was nice to meet up with you again!

You mean analogous to a murder of crows?

Glad to hear! I think they're a bit of a throwback too earlier times when GW didn't take itself so super serious

Thank you! That was exactly what I was after. I find static poses on multi bases a little boring sometimes
moiterei.bsky.social
They do look a little bit superb 👌🏻

Yes, in his first novel he fled through one. You should give 'em a read, if you're not too fixated on your Grim Dark. They made me chuckle a lot

Thanks Victor, glad you like 'em!

Thank you very much, Andreas!

Some of their Late Roman range. I especially like the kneeling figures as they work very well with some of the A&A poses thrusting their shields up in the air. And yes, Footsore and Victrix get Aventine Niederbiber type helmeted heads and, if I feel like it, the broad balteus sculpted on.

All set up for the big weekend. Hope to see some of you tomorrow at the Hartenstein Airborne Museum in Arnhem.

I've just seen a certain Commissar Ciaphas Cain heroically charging the other way, screaming what might have been a mighty warcry

Another entry for #FinishedFriday with yet another base of 3rd Century Romans for use with #Midgard. Figures are yet again a mix of A&A, Victrix, WA and Footsore with some conversions and hand painted shields. Backdrop by John Hodgson

That sucks! I'm feeling so sorry for you, mate!

Looking good, Andreas! The underspray has given them a very nice colour shift

You're a 100% right in pointing out that German historians are rather bad in getting their stuff translated. I found that also true the other way round, especially when it comes to WW2, with very few apart from Beevor being translated into German. I just happen to prefer to read in English anyway 😂

I don't begrudge you your history, I just wish there were more continental European rules writers focusing on continental European history. Why can't we have both?
moiterei.bsky.social
Yeah... it's still Age of Arthur, right? With Saxons, Britons and Picts that's 3 out of 10 from a relatively remote isle that didn't play a significant role in the period. It's a simple fact though, that most wargamers are anglophone and thus Arthur and Bewowulf closer than Hagen and Siegfried.

I wonder why 😂 I mean, there's a reason Studio Tomahawk did an Age Of Arthur supplement for Saga. I'd rather have seen an Age of the Nibelungen one.
Especially considering that events on the continent arguably did more to shape Europes history than what happened on the British Isles.
