🚨 But if the government shutdown continues past October 13, those subsidies will be cut. Airlines may have to fly without pay or stop service entirely, with no clear promise of reimbursement.

This could directly impact daily flights from Morgantown to Dulles (Washington, D.C.) and Chicago O’Hare.

✈️ WV’s Rural Air Service is at Risk ✈️

Morgantown Municipal Airport is one of five airports in West Virginia relying on the Essential Air Service (EAS), a federal program that guarantees daily flights from rural airports by subsidizing airlines.
