A single spark begins to rise—
Unseen by most, but brave and wise.

The walls have fallen, dreams gone still,
The air is thick, the night is chill.
Yet from the cracks, so deep and small,
A whisper stirs: *“We rise from fall.”*

No trumpet sounds, no grand parade,
Just hands that shake, yet still have stayed.
A flower dares to bloom in stone,
A child laughs though all seems gone.

Hope is not loud, nor dressed in gold,
It’s in the breath the broken hold.

THANK YOU to chloë‬ for the prompt to check out Neo Sora's "Happyend". And yes, post viewing it (on a Cathay Pacific flight! 👀), absolutely see why this dystopian sci-fi drama set in a (near) future featuring an intrusive, facial-recognition surveillance system would resonate with Hongkongers. 🚨
