NYC public school infrastructure is in crisis. We must do better for students and school staff.

Today we rallied at City Hall to release our #GreenHealthySchools plan:
✅Create 321,000 Green Jobs
✅Slash DOE Energy Costs in Half
✅Make schools fully electric & fossil fuel-free

The cost of living is too high and Black families are leaving NYC.

Our next mayor must raise the wage, deliver universal childcare, and create green jobs so the Black New Yorkers who built this city can stay here, too.

It's Amazon Prime Day and we know what that means: worker injuries will spike while Amazon rakes in the profits.

But we won't stop fighting until every Amazon worker has safety and a voice on the job.

For 3 years, @nycprogressives.bsky.social & @council.nyc.gov have been fighting just to undo #EricAdams’ cuts — to schools, libraries, CUNY, & more.

Now CMs say the process is broken & NYC needs to reform/rebalance it to serve/protect NYers & our $.

We agree! Watch ⬇️ #CareNotCuts #NYCBudgetJustice

Governor Hochul's mask ban is clearly an attempt at retaliation for those who are choosing to exercise their first amendment rights. We already have a fascist in the White House. We don't need one in the Governor's Mansion.

Wearing a mask is not a crime — it is a right.

We condemn Governor Hochul's push for passing a mask ban within the FY2026 state budget.

A mask ban is an affront to New Yorkers’ right to health, safety, and protest.

The straight-arm salute has meant very different things in different places and during different periods of history. But in Germany, the interpretation of the gesture Elon Musk made during President Trump’s inauguration event this week was straightforward. nyti.ms/4h6c5iE
A photo shows Elon Musk speaking at the Inauguration Day event at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. with his right arm straightened and raised in the air. A headline reads: "In Germany, Little Doubt On the Meaning of Elon Musk's Salute." Photo credit: Eric Lee for The New York Times.
