There's definitely evidence of that when Apocalypse merged with him and broke his brain. But also the guy left his wife and child to go hook up with that hot redhead he knew from his teen years (even though he was with her clone). He's got some stuff.

I have been out of reading mainstream hero comics for a while, at least in part because this sort of character development isn't done with old or new characters.

I like to think of Cyclops as having an extraordinarily clean mind that makes him super attractive to telepaths. They love being with someone who isn't anxious or otherwise bogged down since none of them can resist poking around in people's heads.

Morrison made Emma Frost the best partner for Scott by a longshot. Also enhanced her care for students, her entitled nastiness, and made her so much more of a character than she used to be. She's my favorite villain-to-hero Mutant.

Beak really did deserve better. I guess writing his future and the decline of story as a driver in comics was always going to push him off the map.

Emma was around before, but I could also see the argument that Morrison remade Emma. She's *VERY* popular now though, thanks to Marvel Rivals.

In a way it feels like Morrison's run was also an attempt to let the legacy characters .nature and allow us to love new ones, but that seems to have died out as well with only Kid Omega remaining popular.

Something I learned right as we were all about to stop memorizing numbers is that the 7 digit number was chosen because they found 7 digits was the longest number most people could reasonably memorize.
