Called in to see a friend today at Ruswarp, near Whitby , VC62.As we walked round her lovely garden we spotted, Western conifer seed bug,Box bug and Hawthorn shieldbug.Also 2 fresh Common blues and 4 Small copper butterflies !

Today i noticed a thallus of Hypogymnia with yellow patches.I presumed a fungal attack, however a friend has suggested Usnic acid leachate 🤔🤔

After 12mm of rain over the last 2 days, some of the common lichens on the moors look much fresher !Platismatia glauca and Parmelia omphalodes here on a large wooden post !

Most of my spare time in summer is concentrated on Moths,when the Moorland species start wandering in to my garden, i get a fungal/lichen yearning!Chevron and Neglected rustic!

I would highly recommend the TG7 !!I use it for Lichen, insect and fungi photography and micro moths.Alonside Obsidentify it has transformed my identification of these subjects !
