Happy Halloween Month to you all!

I'm Moti and I'm a pumpkin carver, so I'll be posting lots of photos of my carved pumpkins this month.

Below is my favourite ever carve: 'Low Light' on The Isle of May.

Please check out my pumpkin images on my RedBubble shop!

Every time someone talks about “curing” autism, what they’re really saying is:

That autism is a disease
That we are broken
That we shouldn’t exist

It’s not just wrong - it’s dehumanising

We’re not a problem to be solved.
We’re real, valid humans

Why is that so hard to see?

Today's pumpkin carving share is one of my most popular carves, and shoes St Monans' Kirk. I like carving cuboid shapes, as by just carving different depths, you can quite easily create a 3D look. And buildings are good cuboid shapes!

I got a similar thing here, being referred then later being told they only assessed kids or people with intellectual disabilities for Autism. It really upset me and sent me ricocheting all over the place. (But obviously ADHD is much more important to get assessed).

Autism diagnostic process shouldn't punish you for not having childhood materials or an informant;

but unfortunately it still does, which is classist violence.

(Also - as it annoys me in the photo, the roof of the tollbooth tower curves around the pumpkin, which is why it looks too short - but in real life, it didn't look like that!)

If you live near Pittenweem, Pittenweem Library is having a PUMPKIN RAFFLE! The winner gets their very own pumpkin carved by me, with an image of their choice.

Today's pumpkin share is the scene last year's winner chose.

Some of the paperbacks I ordered to sell in my direct store were damaged and while the book is still perfectly readable I can’t in good conscience sell them at full price. So good news for you! If you want to snatch up a paperback of SoBB for just $10+shipping look no further!

I use RedBubble, but get very few sales there, and some of the products I've bought have been a bit poor quality (and many have been excellent, and the customer service always will send out replacements with no issue). Thinking of trying out printify, but it looks complicated to use.

He is precise/very good! And useful when you hurt your back crouching over a carve for 3 days!

I did hope other people would get into it, but I ended up out on a limb. It's lovely that it's a family thing for you!

Yep. I love 360 carves, but it's so much work. I also am starting to wind down carving. It's too much for my eyes and body these days. After this year, I'll just do a couple for fun each year, but no more. (Also - amazing carve!)
