Lumen print 091425. Pressed garden tomatoes on expired photographic paper, exposed to sunlight for about 90 minutes.
While doing a study of lighting glass, a story emerged about this pair of flutes. Which one are you?

A man and his dog and a dog and his man. You know when a set like this is a perfect match. I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name. Great pair.
I took the C330 out with the simple, but difficult task of asking people if I could take their portrait. Granted the old camera provided a point of introduction, but it did feel awkward, at least at first. I quickly realized though how friendly and accommodating people are.
I didn't spend much time there, but I did manage to snap this photo at Point Lobos State Nature Reserve. As I think about what's happening with the federal government, I'm even more appreciative of our #CAStateParks and the stewards who maintain and protect them.

Hi, Neal. I was referring to the person’s relaxed state. More relaxed and at ease. But, perhaps spontaneity is lost, both for the subject and the photographer. That could be unnatural.
A portrait taken with a 4x5 view camera and enlarged to an 8x10 print. Large format is, as I am learning, a slow and deliberate process, but it lends itself to a more natural portrait. It's an interesting intersect between process and product.

The mixed weather made for a good walk at the Cosumnes River Preserve this morning, where I was able to snap this nugget. I'd love to explore the area more.

When we bought this place, it came with several rose bushes planted all around. The ladies who had owned the place passed on, but their roses stay robust and produce some wonderful blooms year after year. #bw #rose #nb #spring
Lately, Ranger and I have been taking our long walks at Folsom Lake. But one place we often go that's a little closer to home is the bridge near Sunrise Ave. I'm just realizing it has become a significant landmark for me.

Kertész is dead. Long live Kertész!

My derivation. The one millionth of all there ever were.

An arrangement of the mundane, here three screw-in light bulbs take the stage, with a single screw for good measure. www.mrgphotography.com/things-in-th... #photography #stilllife #still-life #mundane #bw #nb

RIP, David Lynch. Truly one of the great weirdoes in film and television history.
The colors, 2-D geometry, and textures of this old Sears auto shop caught my eye one sunny afternoon. #abstructure www.mrgphotography.com/abstructures
Ranger and I are putting our Golden Poppy Pass (CA state parks) to good use at Beals Point, Folsom Lake. The low water levels have created a sort of moonscape to wander through.
