Figure I’ll start off by re-pinning my Google Drive - it has all my resources for teaching #English and #History (BGE to Higher) per Scottish curriculum, plus various “general” resources like a retrieval practice bank. Available to anyone it’s useful to! tinyurl.com/yad9jcg9 #scottishteacher

I have now listened to #lifeofashowgirl at least a hundred times and while I know some people aren’t loving it, I am having a great time. Dancing, vibing, laughing at our millennial cringe. Not a single skip for me.
On our last day in KL we went to RexKL including Book Xpress which is a viral bookstore there (and around every corner was a content creator doing full on photo shoots) Buy 4 get a 5th free so had to take these home - all for under £20!
AHHHHHH! Have the best time 🤩🤩
Devastated that Scotland hasn’t got in on the trend. Also: UHT MILO
Boost Juice defined my adolescence. It’s where we went to hang out after school. Haven’t had it in maybe 20 years. But they have it in Malaysia 😍
We have been in Penang for a couple days. Did a cooking class and made Malaysian korma, roti canai and tomato rice. Then went to a Nyonya restaurant for dinner which I believe is a combo of Malay and Chinese cuisine (detail/names of dishes in alt text)🤌🏻🤌🏻

In his research Dunlosky et al (2013) identified 5 of the most robust & effective learning strategies you can use with your pupils:

1️⃣Practice testing aka retrieval practice
2️⃣Distributed practice aka spaced learning

We visited Thean Hou Temple this morning and I think everyone needs to see the prophecy/blessing(?) I received 💀💀💀💀
We booked our arrival airport transfer through Viator and it came with a tour to Batu Caves, a batik workshop, and Royal Selangor (this was the best - going to go back to make our own pewter souvenir at the end of the trip!)
Went to Australia Zoo for the first time. Got to pet koalas.
FUIC is a thing here, but I’m a Paul’s NT Iced Coffee girlie and can only get that in the NT 😂
Also visited Tangalooma Island Resort for the first time and it was incredible. For £80 ea we got return day ferry; $25 lunch voucher, drink voucher for the journey, 60min quad bike tour (pls enjoy that ridiculous photo) and access to resort pools/beach. While swimming, dolphins swam with us 😭😭
Home in Aus visiting family for a week or so. Obviously had to cram in all the Australian delicacies (lemon lime & bitters; wedges sour cream & sweet chilli; snag; Chinese honey chicken done the way I like it)
Thank you! Several decades of work left no doubt 🤣 just need to be a wealthy heiress in the 19th C who sits around embroidering and yapping all day really 😌🤣
Progress on the second row of my MAMMOTH cross stitch project. Now to put her aside while we’re abroad for a few weeks 🥳🥳
TWO MONTHS after a baby she’s pregnant again. That poor woman. Means she was barely given time to recover from birth before having sex again too!
And I have a Taylor Swift song for each of them 🤣
🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻😂
I have used metallic thread once and I very quickly lost the will to live
But it’s going to be so pretty 😍😍
I’m currently devouring Pachinko, then have Hell Bent lined up!
Yeah I didn’t mind book 1, but def predictable and execution was a little immature (in terms of writing style not being super polished). Not read books 2/3 as a result - so if you didn’t love it, I’d say there’s better books out there to spend your time with!
Finished the book - loved it. Will add Ares to the watch list!
