I think what you did you help put them at ease was very sweet, and you should judge yourself more by that than how you reacted when the part of you that is made of meat was telling you to escape. You're a good guy, and you should try to show yourself the kindness that you give to strangers

When you get startled like that, your sympathetic nervous system engages, releasing adrenaline and other hormones to prime you for a fight or flight response. It's great for running away from predators, but it significantly degrades your ability to navigate awkward bilingual social situations.

I am getting close to the end of act 3 in Silksong, and yes it is really fucking hard. I keep finding that if I'm bashing my face against something and getting nowhere though, that means it's time to switch my crest and tool loadout and try a new approach

I'm avoiding yelling at a stranger in someone else's comments, so I'll complain about it here. When someone is complaining about some aspect of being fat and you respond with "You're not fat, you're sexy!" they should be allowed to kill you with a hammer
