Clara was one of those babies who always had a snotty nose and sticky hands. If she liked you, she’d stare at you, watching, unblinking while breathing heavily through flared nostrils, getting her little fingers into everything you’re doing.

7 years ago as a newborn, weighing only about 6lbs, Clara was found, somehow, left mysteriously in Commander Jae-Jeong’s office. Wrapped snuggly in a men’s shirt and jacket, with nothing but a necklace chain with three small metal pendants on it, and a note reading “Clara.”
