I just realized that October marks 10 years in IT/cybersecurity 😱 I started as a part time helpdesk/AV support specialist, quickly moved into desktop support, then systems administration at year 3. Meanwhile I got a Master’s in computer science, and switched to cloud security consulting in 2021 💙

Amidst the stress of planning for @blueteamvillage.bsky.social at #defcon33 I keep getting reminders of why I do this. Aside from herding cats and putting out fires and making all these annoying little decisions, we reach people — we impact, educate and inspire so many. That’s fucking priceless.

I thought about going back to Nikon, but I went to B&H to get some hands-on before buying, and the X-T50 felt right. When I travel to certain types of places, it helps to have a low profile form factor.
