I might know of some of those folks. He would have been 84 this year.

Where the F do they come from? We had (have?) an infestation. I have to capture and flush them down the toilet.

Just went to a Starbucks that is being closed. The employees and the local franchise owner found out 3 days ago that yesterday was their last day. The sign is already coming down out front. It went up 3 yrs ago.

There are reasons why our politics are being pushed to extremes.

If you love tennis, follow Steph @opencourt.bsky.social. You read about the trenches. How hard it is. And how there are a lot of decent people out there.

You’re rocking it with these stories, Steph. Top coverage of Canadian tennis.

That Mboko loss in a tie break in the 3rd, when she had match points, served a purpose?

Read a number of them. Cannot necessarily follow them in a linear or Cartesian way, but each blows my mind.

Maybe we had 12. But to my 10 year old self, it felt like 2 or 3 x that many.

I was just thinking that. And as guy, how my testes could actually look like that? 🤣

Britannica. Maroon hard covers. 15 books or so. Tiny print. You could learn so much.

I read your post and think instantly of Bob Uecker (RIP), Charlie Sheen and Jobu.

Hopefully some kind of movie comes out of this.

You are right. They are likeable. And the superstars are likeable.

There is something wholesome about showing up at the rink in May, and there’s a bunch of guys in the parking lot, around the trunk of car, enjoying a few cold ones after an evening game.

The majority of people will not know how to pronounce her name properly. They’ll think she was named for a Star Wars creature.

Ps: my middle name is Lew. So I know…

I quite liked the book. It was a long story, repetitive, but you have to think. My issue is more with the philosophy than the writing.

The writing did not bother me that much. I appreciate the short, direct sentences. Given her background and that English is likely her 2nd? 3rd? Language. And she is writing in the 20s and 30s, for the screen then novels, when that is not how someone like her would be expected to spend her time.

It’s why I read the book. To understand why those guys (almost exclusively) were “inspired” by it.

Fountainhead is good, although she makes the same points repeatedly.

That said - you can appreciate where she came from as an author, and how that inspires the book. And it forces the reader to engage, and agree or disagree. It’s good when a book does that.

Ottawa airport must be the easiest, most agreeable airport for the capital of any G7 country.

You are going to be such a damn good MP.

Feel for you, with the pressure of having a family, and the need to have a family behind you.

You all - all 5 - got this.
