Hah, the pages are a mess, though I'll probably still post bits of them. But mostly I'm planning to mine them to create more bits like this that have a bit more cohesive layout and storytelling! Kiiinnnddaaa thinking that if I get enough of this going, I can basically make a zine?

I made this one to avoid fighting the Last Judge

#silksong #hollowknight #fanart #myart
A fanart comic about the opening of the game Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Panel 1: Hornet kneels on mossy ground, eyes closed in pain, her needle stuck in the ground beside her. Text reads: "I am weak, but I am alive. Thankfully, my needle fell with me."
Panel 2: A vignette with two smaller bugs in white veils, carrying strange staffs with bells. One bug looks back, showing a symbol on the front of the veil that is a stylized version of the top of the staff. Text reads: I don't know why I was sought out or where I was being taken."
Panel 3: A decorative metal version of the staff shape and symbol, instead of a bell, there is a sphere wrapped in something. Text reads: "They all bore a strange symbol. Foreign to me."
Panel 4: A black panel highlighting a glowing moth-shape sitting on top of the symbol from the previous panel. Text reads: "The smallest actions can have large impacts. A bug of white light appeared. It landed. The runes flashed." Behind the last sentence is a faint, delicate and intricate white design that is reminiscent of decorative webbing.
Panel 5: This panel fills the center of the page in a vertical column. On a narrow bridge are four veiled bugs escorting a golden cage with Hornet inside. The light bug sits on top of the symbol topping the cage. Swooping silk threads hang in the air around the cage in the moment just before they tighten. Under that, text reads "Threads whipped around. Silk gripped the bridge. It broke. We fell. And Fell." Below the bridge are pieces of stone, the veiled bugs and their staffs, and Hornet in her cage - all in the act of falling through darkness.
Panel 6: A mossy scene where plants grow on bone and a metallic bug statue sits. Text reads "The mossy, wet environs do much to hide the bone and husts below. Still, I see a space peeking through. A cave. A strange statue. Snoring beyond.
Panel 7: Hornet stands in front of a daunting wall of thick vines. Text reads: "I am weak, but I am alive. And I must find a way up."

Appreciation to everyone on my feed who's HYPED about Protomen: Act III
myrdraws.bsky.social
After 50+ hours, beating Phantom, Hunter's March, exploring (part) of Bilewater, and all the Weavenests I can get to, I think I'm finally ready to move on to Act 2

God, I understand this feeling so well. You aren't alone!

Depends on the flavor, maybe? I just know I routinely call churu 'kitty gogurt', so the association is fully cemented in my brain pan

Late to the Sherma game

#silksong #Sherma #hollowknight #fanart
A drawing of the character Sherma from the game Hollow Knight: Silksong. She's drawn cheerful and content, happily playing her lucky chime while she dances, knowing she's going to be okay.

Fifty hours in and probably at least another 20 before I'll hit Act 2 😅 I'm currently working on Widow

You have to guess the correct number of bugs or the game won't operate

Yeeeaahhhhh. I'm probably 50+ hours in and still in Act 1. Currently working on Widow. Combat and boss fights aren't my strong suit, and I keep pausing to draw/write the travel journal 😅

They just want to love you a little in Sinner's Road, that's all!
#silksong #fanart #comic #myart
A comic about Hollow Knight: Silksong. Hand-drawn title lettering reads "Sinner's Road". First panel on left shows a sleeping brown lump with a chitinous tail. the caption reads,"Beyond the Gates, Cages with Sleeping Beasts" against a dull swamp green background. The second panel below shows the same toothy crocadillo-creature awake, with sharp pointy teeth and a big smile. The caption reads, "Perhaps Peaceful but upon waking TEETH." The final, largest panel shows Hornet (a slight, white-faced bug with a dramatic red cape and a very sharp sword) being crunched in the monster's toothy jaws. The resigned caption reads, "Ouch. A warm welcome, indeed."

I haven't gotten there yet, but now I'm excited to!

...Would anyone be interested in seeing that Silksong travel journal I've been making?

It'll be full of spoilers (for act 1, so far), but I've been back and forth a bunch on whether to share any of it or not, or whether to just pick out excerpts and pretty them up as fan art. (Sherma for preview!)
A cropped excerpt of a page of my travel journal I'm making for Hollow Knight: Silksong. It starts with notes from Hornet's point of view asking why she's hearing singing in this dreary place of bone. Underneath that are two sketches of the character Sherma, one where she's happily playing her chime and singing, in the other she's standing. She's surrounded by the lyrics of the song she sings when a player first meets her. There are notes around her with observations about her lucky chime and her personality.

Yes and no. Obviously the more unique sins you unlock, the more you have access to, but that's mostly because you have to use the crafting system to combine sins to create even more unique varieties and discover secret options
myrdraws.bsky.social
Thankfully, I think those expansions are free

In todays episode of 'Things I misheard', I thought I heard my partner ask "Do you think there's a way to get our sins unlocked?"

I love your linework so much, it always feels so alive!
