Ah, yes, sadly Amazon first printed their book "on demand" and in black and white even! 😱 But you can return it (as it's defective) and request a new one ^_^ They should be shipping the correct one these days

Looking forward to discussing CHART in the upcoming DataVis Book Club on August 18th! ^_^

Enjoying @nadiehbremer.com's CHART (and the sun 😁). It's a great book — Nadieh's work is amazing anyways, and I love how generously she shares her tricks and recipes. www.routledge.com/CHART-Design...

Honored to get such a joyful reaction from @tulpinteractive.com about receiving my new book, especially as I name him as one of my main sources of inspiration at the start of the book 😊

Congrats to @nadiehbremer.com on her successful launch at Outlier yesterday! I can't wait to see more people fall in love with this book.

From seeing the mock ups to holding it in my hand, I don't think this book could have come out any more beautiful.
The book cover for "Chart: Designing Creative Data Visualizations from Charts to Art" by Nadieh Bremer. The title is in large, ornate white letters against a black background, with a colorful, abstract pattern on the left and right edges. An open book displaying a detailed data visualization with a network of connected circles and hexagons, some labeled with words like "VOCAL MUSIC," "DANCE," "WEDDING," and "POETRY." The background is a faint hand-drawn sketch. A hand holding the book "Chart: Designing Creative Data Visualizations from Charts to Art" by Nadieh Bremer, in front of a bookshelf filled with various titles.

I just had my virtual book launch for CHART at Outlier!! ✨😃 (together with @datacitron.bsky.social who did the whole layout design)

It’s the chART virtual book launch at #outlier2025 - here’s @nadiehbremer.com and @juliebrunet.bsky.social appearing remotely, with @zanewolf.bsky.social proudly displaying the real book! Can’t wait to get hold of my copy (frustratingly 3000 miles away from me at home right now!)
nadiehbremer.com
Aaaah, great to see a photo of it happening at Outlier! (and thank you @zanewolf.bsky.social for displaying the book 😆!) Hahaha, at least you can see some versions of it IRL at Outlier, while not having to take it back in your suitcase as 1kg more :P
nadiehbremer.com
(PS: If you've ordered via Amazon longer than 2-3 days ago, you probably got a print-on-demand incorrect version of the book, probably in black and white. I'll also talk about this, but in short, you'll want to order a replacement, as the one you have is "defective")
nadiehbremer.com
As I do not yet have my own copy of the book, in case any of you have received it already, I would LOVE it if you could send me some photos of how it looks, so I can share these during the party as well! 🤗

Hopefully see you tomorrow!
nadiehbremer.com
I'll show you more from the book's inside, talk about the different lessons, and Julie Brunet will make a guest appearance and show never-before-seen works in progress on the design of the book. And you're free to ask questions of course!

As CHART began as a keynote talk for Outlier conference in 2023, it felt fitting to have a little (virtual) launch party as Outlier is happing this week as well.
