You’re right. It is a negative way to portray diagnosis. But I also see how loud cultural mouthpieces are pushing to treat autistics as ‘people to be cured’ instead of as people who operate differently and require other support structures than NT people. Part of that fuels my pondering of it.

I’ve never been diagnosed, but my gut tells me my life experiences point to a flavor of AuDHD. With what’s going on nationally, I’m glad I don’t have a clinical diagnosis of it. Is it best to avoid diagnosis with that RFK monster around?

Also, when I look at writing as a task, art, skill, I don’t see any limit that exists to the possibility of improving it. It seems like a daunting infinity where one could work at it 1000 lifetimes and still be unsatisfied with refining it. (And then there always exists other languages.)

Having to really WRITE is an overwhelmingly difficult task at times because the deeper you go into it sometimes it gets even more difficult. You end up learning more and then you look at what you’ve written and want to rewrite ALL of it.
