We've all joked about movies casting people well out of high school as high-schoolers.

I was watching Carrie tonight, and I noticed one of the girls in gym class played by Edie McClurg (secretary in Ferris Bueller, rental car agent in Planes, Trains & Automobiles).

In 1976, she would have been 31.

I think this was the first grown-up story I read that really scared me. I can still summon the tension I felt while reading it many years ago. .

@techconnectify.bsky.social I bought this boom box today. The cassette buttons are backwards. “Play” points to the left. The >> button rewinds, and the << button fast-forwards. I had to double-check my VCR to make sure I hadn’t misremembered the directions.
