I would argue it is more unambiguous than some of the times the Pretty Series has used Daisuki or even Aishiteru before. Himari's misunderstanding is key- by having her think she was in love with Himari's brother, she got a confirmation it was romantic love, so when she realizes it was Rei all along

They didn't let us have a straight up "Daisuki", but that's about as unambiguous as you can get
