I'm usually the first one up in this house, but not always. On those rare occasions where my roommate is up and leaves for work before me this is how I'm greeted when I open my door in the morning. I love it 😍

Tomorrow evening (10/25) I'll at the Zombie Walk in downtown Las Cruces with my booth, five builds, and all the schwag y'all love that I don't offer online. That said - it's difficult to set up and run a booth in full costume so I'll be keeping my attire low key. Ish. Main plaza, 5p-10p. Pull up. 🎸

"Buzzsaw" is a coffin box build with a tele-style bridge and flame treated finish. The blade is from my workshop. Inside are steel bars for structure and sustain. Tuned to DADG. I may swap to locking tuners in the future.

I'm definitely keeping this one.

"Downscale" will definitely rattle windows. Inside the box is a death's head moth medallion mounted on blackened walnut. A four rail humbucker powers the sound. Strung with 85/65/45 strings and tuned to GDG on a 25.5" scale.

It's all appropriately brutal 🤘

"Little Wing" is a very petite build that's smaller than a soprano uke - tip to tail it's 17.5in (44.5cm). Under the lid is the full set of electrics you'll find in one of my bigger builds. The neck is poplar with a walnut fretboard and diatonic scale. Tuned to B.

It's a sign of interesting times when I choose to create a bright pink coffin build with Auntie Fash - it's sassy, it's punk, it's brash, and it has the tone and drive to match 🎸

Hashtag #workinprogress - this is ready for assembly once the tung oil does its thing. It's just six inches long and will have a twelve inch fretted diatonic scale. There's tone and volume controls and a Lucky 13 flat pup from MGB Guitars under the lid.

Yeah, it'll growl.

I used to create digital art before the AI slopstorm. I now build guitars and don't get my tablet out much anymore but I still draw designs for stickers from time to time. It's not much, but it's a devil I know.

"Rue" is a bare bones build with natural resonation in mind, with bare wood inside the box and a single coil, three pole pickup with a simple volume control. The tone is bright and raw and pairs well with dirty blues. Strings are gauged 46/36/26 and tuned to a drop D 🎸

There is a very shiny '57 wheat ear penny in that headstock, hence the name for this gitty. "Penny has the "traditional" cigar box guitar look with that headstock, antique style latches, and a sound to match.

Strung with 46/36/26 gauge strings and tuned to DAD.
