I'm just trying to do music, mate. Alt rock type stuff mostly, but then I take loops of my songs and make them into hip-hop tracks to rap over as Dig Xaz. I am also in VIBE and The Madonna and the Whore. From Rotherham, S Yorks. Live in MCR. (He/Him)

I'm going to take a little mental health break from social media for a week or so. Y'all keep it positive while I'm gone.

I'm taking the kids away, so in the meantime here's a song I made with them.

Just generally making everyone unhappier. I don't know why anyone would want to do that.
Funny what you think of...

We run in different circles but I ant eard from Andrew Tate in a bit. Is he alright?

Or has he finally just fucked off?
There appeared to be a load of black dots in front of my eyes, and I said to myself, "why am I seeing all these things with my eyes?"

Then I realised, what else am I supposed to see things with?
True. If you were to reveal a succession of them up there, it's going to look suspicious
I mean, it's not my fault if I sit on one. By accident.
I uh... just want to share this again. It's my favourite thing I've done in a while. Probably should have put a bit more low end in the master, but it still has mad grooves and idiosyncratic singing.

We know it's all immigration they care about, but they claim it's about illegal immigration. So having lower applications isn't something that damages the narrative.
Still, it's nice to be thought of as generous.
One day I'd like to count how many times I have to listen to a song before it's finished, but I know it would be pointless to try.

Let's just say hundreds.
How 'ard is it like, to listen to all the elements of your track all the way through and make sure everything is balanced just right against everything else?

Answer: very 'ard.
Bit of a setback. I was going to start mastering, but then I saw that the right channel was consistently louder than the left channel, so I started tweaking guitar volumes, then bass volumes... now I'm going to have to let the changes bed in before I can be sure it's ready
Woah, that's a lot of superfluous work I've done on this track.

*not really superfluous as it was all part of the journey to the end.
I can imagine an idiot getting a nazi tattoo by accident.

You might even find out it was a nazi tattoo and think, "fuck it, it'll be funny."

But you'd have to be a completely ignorant arsehole to do that.
And in relation to my earlier question about counting in; I don't usually do them as a 1 man band, but here's a song where I do one near the end, but I only start counting at 2

Posted about singing so hard I was nearly sick earlier.

If you listen right to the end of this one, you'll hear the kind of thing I'm talking about

Woah. Just sang so hard I was nearly sick.
This is how I experience it. Rightly or wrongly I try not to say anything unless it's interesting or funny.

Then I hear people at the school gates talking boring bullshit and I just can't understand it.

That's why I'm the dad that always just stands on his own.
Dan Worrall's very good. I find most of his stuff is too advanced for me though. I just hope to absorb it by osmosis
Basic answer: mix down to -6db, master to around -8.5 integrated LUFS. I use Reaper and when you render it gives you a figure for LUFS-I so I just tweak according to the reading.

There are free apps like YouLean but I find this easier.
A quick q:

When u hear bands count in, "1! 2! 1234!"

Does that serve a purpose? You could just skip the 1st 1 and 2 as far as I can see.

My old band had a song where we used to save time by only counting to 2. It didn't really save time cos the drummer had to shout "2!" 1st or we might forget
Boring picture, but I thought it was worth celebrating filling another pad with ideas for the future...
It takes as long as it takes
Ok then, double down on it. Bye forever Spotify
