Girl with the pearl 🦪

I wanted to do at least ONE illustration for #Mermay this year, and what better than a kinda creepy looking gal inspired by a classic Dutch painting

She is kind of creepy looking, with tentacles wrapping around her body, barnacles covering her shoulder, and her hand(s) being blackened from blight/decay. She also has black sclera, and is looking at the viewer with her left (for us right) eye being a glowing pearl

actual state of the situation, aside from the police being involved and them telling me to report it immediately if I see anything suspicious. But that only leaves me with more questions about whether or not this person can still enter the apartment complex and/or potentially knock on my door

Just got harassed in the train/at the train station, on top of being told yesterday that someone has apparently been residing in my storage unit, and that "they don't know how this person will react to getting kicked out so be careful"

I just feel so anxious and unsafe right now, this is too much
