this is sort of more on the person though since they didn’t really know the process that well but it’s kinda odd to me that pretty detailed layouts would be considered boards, like to me boards have always been a rough presentation for an idea not the exact direction of what the final might be

i think just having art as a profession and a job is a curse honestly, I’ve seen it fuck up people more than actually do good, like yeah you get paid but if most things you do get scrubbed out and your creative inputs aren’t worth it what’s the point?

I remember one time I got brought onboard on an indie production to do ”storyboards” but it was actually just straight up semi rough comic level layouts … i love how the industry has just completely fucked up indie totally it’s literally just the industry part 2 alternative edition
