Hi, it’s Anna. You’ll never guess where I’m from :) I am writing to say that I have resumed control of this account. I decided that, given the worrying state of the world, there probably ought to be as many friendly elder trans voices present as possible, so I will try to check in here and share something semi-regularly. Nights in Maine are happily becoming a bit colder with each passing week and my favorite time of year is upon us! My days are mostly occupied with domesticity, I still write and record a little once the children are asleep (if I’m not too tired!) but my focus is primarily on Mom Life and learning how to better make myself useful locally, particularly to other queer and vulnerable folks in the community. In other news, I met my husband 16 years ago today! I was just thinking about how we went back to Al’s bar in Lexington when I played a show there with Gold Light in 2013. I don’t remember very much about that specific show, but it was significant returning there with him. I’m so proud of the man that he was then, and continued to become over the years!I hope everyone’s got a good head start on cultivating the sincerity of their pumpkin patches, the great pumpkin’s on the way! The moral of this story is that anyone with any measure of power and wealth (even if accumulated for decades solely thanks to the silence of their victims!) is entitled to your permanent silence about their harm of you, even if it kills you and irretrievably harms everyone you love and care about.

I am very ill (legitimately so, doctor’s note and everything) and unable to prevent the legal steamroller from crushing my partner and I tomorrow. A significant chance of arrest for contempt of a court order or failure to appear (due to illness) because my presence was subpoenaed exists.

Deleting this app off my phone until I get a better handle on managing my trauma symptoms in a way that reduces the likelihood of prison/fines.
