I post the triathlon news stories that you won't read about in the other main sports news. I'm particularly interested in how the sport is developing across the world. I'm not a triathlete now, but I was for 20+ years. Raced in the UK, USA, Germany etc.

And i'm here. If you are interested in the type of triathlon news that the main news doesn't cover, that's my thing.

I use a perl script to scrape results from Google News. Read through them daily, post interesting stuff that's not in the mainstream reporting.

@tonyonodi.bsky.social knows though, the police just don't want to investigate bike theft, it's not high enough priority and most of them are "just" car drivers.

This is a useful tool for anyone that wants to do a binary search through any video, especially bike theft. You can use video from pretty much any security camera to very quickly chop through a long video.

I won't even cycle on the roads here unless I have to.

12+ years ago I led the bike shop rides for one of the top rated shop-rides in the USA, we were in Bicycle Magazine 3x and often had over 100 riders. It's nuts now on roads.

I'm confused of Louisville, Colorado. I read Elizabeth Yodice's letter (10/18) and am left wondering what making cyclists have a license would achieve?

At least here in Louisville having a drivers license doesn't stop driving from being our #1 crime by far. While crime is slightly down on a month to month basis in Louisville, our municipal court is still dominated by licensed vehicle drivers.

From the City of Louisville council packet, of the 978 violations YTD (9/30/25) - Speeding -211, Unregistered Vehicles - 127, Parking Violations - 131, Moving Violations - 414.

Louisville also recently passed a bizarre law to restrict even human powered bikes with no speedometer to 14MPH on city trails. Does she think cyclists don't get prosecuted when they break the law? What next, registration plates for bikes? Oh please, focus on your driving not performative regulations.

Yep, I'm down in Louisville where the cities #1 crime by far is people with a license in vehicles. In fact, I think I should write in to the Camera, it's been a while.

Today in Wollongong, Spain’s Sara Perez Sala was guide for countrywoman Susana Rodriguez as she won the World Title, then just over 7hrs later Sala was on the start line for the T100 World Tour, where she finished third!

grandmother carries a certain gravitas, she has had at least one child, and that child has conceived another child. That takes strength and resilience, add that she finished Ironman Kona is awesome.
