You’re applying the wrong standard. Jokes never need such corrections bc their test is colloquial use. If it’s not there, then nobody gets the joke
Use of the phrase “the nineteen hundreds” to refer to the entire century is so common the wiki has to clarify in the second sentence, so the joke lands

I asked you to say a percentage and you ducked the question. Because you know that while that demo is no doubt responsible for lots of harm, it is objectively absurd to say that we would have “virtually zero” such crime if we removed it. You know that is true. Stop squirming around and admit it.

Indeed. I think we can easily do better than mirroring the right’s rhetoric and engaging in fantasies about “getting rid” of certain demographics or ideologies, but I think we can all agree that we’re sliding ever further into an explicit oligarchy.
