Sketching with Urban Sketchers Hamburg today, single digit temperatures (hence the glove) but endless sunshine. Perfect! The location was Kampnagel, a local independent event space and theatre.

Went on a coffee date with a non sketcher friend who very graciously let me sketch her while we chatted… I did add much of the colour and the details later, as I wanted to focus on her and our conversation ♥️

In other news, I sketched at a coffeeplace yesterday, boomers on my right discussing life on a boat, fellow millennials on my left complaining about gentrification in Hamburg (see alt text for translation of speech bubbles) … we’ll be ok, right? …right??

Hi lovely people! How are you? I’m in a lull… after busy weeks with rehearsals, concerts, teaching I find it difficult to clear my mind, to not get pulled down by everyday doom, and am longing for a break… I managed to sneak in a sketch while lying under the cherry tree though… #urbansketching

🤣 Darn indeed! I’m attending the urban sketchers symposium next month and two of the workshops that I’ve chosen are pastry-related (one in a coffee shop, one in a pastry museum), that’s gonna be a toughie! 😋
