People put labels on others to understand them better or categorise them but humans are too complex, in my opinion. I don’t like labels. For example I am not a #leftist, #rightist or #centrist. I support ideas from all these #ideologies but no, I don’t lean towards any. I am just me. Nita.

Also the poor wait till the last minute to go to the hospital. I personally know two cases when they were diagnosed in the 4th stage. One was a driver and the other my helper’s sister.

#Cancer has ↑ globally but death rates ↓ bc of modern medicine. In less dev countries however, death rates are up. In India, bc of late diagnosis/ltd access to healthcare, death rates have ↑ dramatically. When people are busy making ends meet, they don't visit clinics.

The best people don't enter politics bc lying/cheating doesn't come easily to them. That's what people think. Why else do they have such a poor opinion of their elected officials? Even in developed countries like #Canada & #Japan people distrust #politicians.

If there's one thing India's been good at, it's stalling/strangulating the economy with umpteen licenses, custom duties (read tariffs) on almost everything imaginable & then letting loose a bevy of indifferent inspectors to regulate it. The US should learn from India's mistakes, but it won't.

Indian surrogacy laws are puzzling. Disallowing commercial surrogacy makes sense to prevent the poor from being exploited, but disallowing unmarried women makes no sense esp as divorced & widowed women can. Single men cannot. The logic is "traditional family structure" or some nonsense like that.

Quite a bit of the waste is imported illegally. These people recycle this waste, which is often contaminated, into making products and fuel etc. Many of these are toxic to people. Malaysia is cracking down on this practice.

I don't understand why everyone who works for Trump is so afraid of him that they willingly betray their own country. Bondi, especially as she is an elected person. What are these people really afraid of? Is any human being that scary?

Some countries bury their waste, some send it to an offshore landfill (Singapore) but others unashamedly send it to poorer countries. UK produces the 2nd largest amnt of plastic waste per capita globally & exports it out. #Waste colonialism its called.

Every day there's bad news from America. And the bad news is becoming terrifying news. Judges homes burnt to the ground. Troops in one city after another. Economy, universities, healthcare...all in trouble. Govt. shutdown. Calls to end all opposition. There won't be any America left at this rate.

True, every country has its own history and own unique relationship with immigrants. The author has generalised a lot, but even then, it does make one think as to how it all unfolded. However, I do think that visa policies have been reckless and inadvertently encouraged fraud.

So Indians abroad are not liked anymore. Is it because their numbers reached a tipping point? Or because their success caused resentment? Even so, surely it's because of flawed visa regimes? Wherever lies the blame, the reality is there for all to see.
