I’m not well familiar with Butler, but a regular on one of the gc-boards I frequented a few years ago tore her apart, citing lack of originality in most of her written work.

It helps to know that people don’t universally agree with whatever is being pushed on us all as the new normal, and are ready to fight against the current, no matter how powerful it looks. The more there’s to lose, the more courage they have to their defense.

It also helps to look at it through the prism of knowing certain TRAkwyrr personalities from a decade+ ago, realizing now that some people would support everything in theory, as long as there’s media hype, social validation, or (a vision of) a plain old bank cheque motivating their fancy new ideas.

Her experience dealing with a very special kind of people, and their loud, socially contagious look-at-me syndrome, for me has resonated on more levels than just being a part of the same rainbow community, and seeing how rights of us all are being set back by quarter century back so easily, so fast.

I'll go for brighter autumn colors closer to the middle of the month, but one thing I've definitely noticed while working on this is how much softer Mondeluz are, compared to higher end Faber Castell.
Their palette isn't as refined, but the pigment is much easier to lay down and activate with water.
