Hey guys, Nocturne here, a chill fox who plays mostly retro games that focus on hacks and fan translations, and anything else I feel like playing. Drop in for a chill time and some good vibes. Also ranking of Sega Games every Wednesday which is my main project.
As someone who grew up with the NES and Master System, most of those game were held together with nothing but Hope.
And lastly, we have Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy. A game based more on the cartoon than the games also not made by any of the people related to the first 2 games. Also being a collect-a-thon, but I found it much more fun to play. There's also a lot of game in that game, which is cool.
In writing this, I completely blanked on the second game being Bart & the Beanstalk. It wasn't horrible, but not very good either. Making it a collect-a-thon made it different I guess, but it was the platonic ideal of a 5/10 game. It was interesting seeing a non Imagineering Simpsons game though.
Week 3 Summary for Spooksgiving and first up was batman Forever for the Game Boy and wow, it actually looked really good. The controls were fucked but the game wasn't too bad. If the Grappling hook wasn't so hard to do, or they didn't make it required, the game would be much better.
Awesome Possum is a game that was a mess form the start, and just went off the rails. The multiple layers of Paralax scrolling in the background made the game chug, and the character himself is really a smug little chode. Him being a narcissistic little twit was a choice. Not a good one though.
Next was Dark Castle and I liked it. It was frustrating but in a silly, goofy way, if that makes sense. I actually wouldn't have minded owning it and playing it for fun. I had a shitload more fun with it than fucking Fantasia. So once again, the last game I'm talking about is in the middle.
Forgot to do a summary for Week 2 of Spooksgiving. So first, Fantasia. This is the worst game so far. The controls are bad, the music horrible, and it won't let you progress unless you score enough points and find hidden notes with no clues to where they are. Fuck Fantasia, I'm glad it was pulled.
Week 4 of Spooksgiving and it's time for the big guns, we're spotlighting the SNES! We'll see how bad they are.

www.twitch.tv/nocturne_dus... Our only Game Boy Color game, it’s Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy
Tonight it's the last day of Game Boy Week for Spooksgiving with Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy! The one Game Boy Color game I picked out. I never played it before but I heard it's pretty crap so we'll see.

This game rocks, I don't care what anyone says. I had it growing up and still enjoy playing it. And this character, Jossie, is my favorite one.
www.twitch.tv/nocturne_dus... Of course a Simpsons game is going to pop up. It’s Bart & the Beanstalk.
I'd say it's a Halloween game. There's nothing friendly about it.
Tonight for Spooksgiving it's a Simpsons game, one I don't see talked about too often. It's Bart & the Beanstalk and it's not by Imagineering, which is rare. This one is Software Creations to we'll see how it goes.
Well, Batman Forever was alright. The controls were terrible and the grappling hook move was just as nearly impossible to pull off as the 16-bit versions. But it wasn't too bad. Then after that we raided @sarzac.bsky.social who was playing a much, much better game, Secret of Mana.
www.twitch.tv/nocturne_dus... Riddle me this! What’s Green and has Val Kilmer in it? It’s Batman Forever for the Game Boy!

Week 3 of Spooksgiving and it's time to Highlight some games for that little gray brick everyone loves, the Game Boy! Tonight is Batman Forever, a game that used digitized actors for the 16-bit versions. How do they replicate that on the Game Boy? Well, they tried, I'll give them that.
That was a trick that got me out of many a jam while growing up.
I remember renting it once as a kid and I was so confused I told my mom the game was broken so I could rent something else.
You don't want to use Art Alive. Stick with Mario Paint.
