Writing something about ICE and sweet Jesus it is so incredibly dark what they are doing to these cities. We have all seen the videos, but when you wade into the details of their actions, it is extraordinarily bleak.

It is. That nails it. All of my professional work focuses on a concept called behavioral momentum. Basically, when you prime for an activity, you perform better at it. Full stop, unequivocally true about all human endeavor.

I think my problems with dating is that I have what I can only compare to like “pretty” women, who kind of naturally draw you in, but when you get closer you see how messy anyone’s reality is and the hypnosis of the beauty breaks, leaving a lower opinion in it’s wake.

To add to the evidence the same night a really extreme thing happened that otherwise makes no sense, I passed by that guy and he made a joke about how similar our hair was, now. Because our only interactions were basically “we look the same” while passing in a bar. Don’t know his name.

I think I solved a very weird series of mysterious interactions over the last few months that were psychologically traumatic for me. It is (probably) because my hair grew out and it inadvertently made me look like this guy with a long history of being shitty in bars. So I cut it.

Just explaining to my LO that “cats have no sense of ownership” in order to explain something she found confusing. And I realized how abstract the concept even is. Wisdom is not a product of hoarded and memorized knowledge, but rather asking questions and getting lost in the answer.

Glad you are underlining that important semantic distinction. The idea that an AI agent has “cognition” is technically not the case at all. An IQ test doesn’t measure any property of your thoughts, but rather how useful your actions are.

I was clarifying how /I/ was using it in the context to help reassure you that it was never meant to be a statement of religious belief that another person has to make some point about. Not an invitation to debate linguistics.

Is this why you commented originally? To make some point about my use of language to describe my own experience? Get better hobbies. Accept how people describe their experience, don’t use it as a platform for irrelevant cultural statements. Glad you could empathize, with whatever construct you use.
