Preliminary, unconfirmed reports say a Russian MiG-31 jet crashed in Lipetsk region due to landing gear failure. The crew ejected after diverting the jet away from residential areas. The aircraft went down in a forested area of Chaplyginsky district. Both pilots were found and hospitalized.
