Brilliant album (listening to it now)

Based on the single, I just wish I didn’t have to wait until almost December to hear the album as it promises to be sublime
norhal.bsky.social
Further reinforces for me that this might be your best album yet. Can’t wait to hear it as a complete work end to end

One time I wrote something like “as the plot clearly illustrates, the fluid right before turbulence was hit with a spatula” and then referenced a footnote that said “made you look!”. He did find that one funny. You can do it too: name variables: tjn, z_strdst and tn_mcn. No one will be the wiser

Sadly, no. That company has that as an output message forever now. I also leave little David Bowie references hidden in my code that no one also catches. I got that habit in grad school because my advisor never read anything I wrote, so I’d put nonsense in there to get his attention

“Last night I dreamt of San Pedro” - Madonna

(Yes, I know it’s not from “Ray Of Light”, but u did use that as an output statement in code I was writing to see if people reviewing it were paying attention)

I do have “Dirt On Earth”. I’d assumed that it had an edited down version of “Carefree” or maybe a different recording sharing the same name, but thank you for confirming

Out of curiosity, would you be willing to put back on Bandcamp “Scenes from the Carefree Life of a Roman Lady: 1”? I have volume 2 (listening to right now actually which prompted the question), but missed out on the first one and would really like to rectify that…

I listened to all 3 Human Greed albums that got re-released in tape format chronologically last night and what an atmosphere they evoke starting with their respective “Invocation[s]”. The ending of “Examination”, the aforementioned words in “Waiting In A Car”, the strings in “The Green Line”. Chills

This album, to me, represents a high watermark for Human Greed if only for the words in “Waiting In A Car” alone. I really hope you and Deryk release a new Human Greed album some day.

Marking the one year anniversary of Dean Roberts’ passing, here’s his last recorded album on @erstwhile.bsky.social - an excellent album that was lost in the shuffle of COVID beginning to disrupt our lives erstwhilerecords.bandcamp.com/album/not-fire

This record, along with Sergio Merce’s new one ensures that October will be a stellar music month (I just wish October wasn’t so far away)

@melvingibbs.bsky.social is the full “Dreams Are Colder Than Death” soundtrack available anywhere? I ask because I came across your superlative “Still Dreamin’” track on Bandcamp years ago and was wondering if there was more of “that” out there

Madonna’s “Ray Of Light”?

Billy would you be open to releasing the “dlp 1.1” DVD from the last box as a standalone release? I feel like that visual component is an important part of the story.

For those of us who missed out on the last box, flippers have them on discogs between $600-$4,000. I’d rather that money go to you

I wish it had the “dlp 1.1” DVD as well for those of us who missed out on the last box set, but oh well. Would you consider making that DVD a standalone release at some point?

(The effing flippers are selling that last box between $600 - $4000 on discogs. I’d rather my money go to Billy and you)
norhal.bsky.social
This will be expensive, won’t it? Worth it but oh so expensive

An evergreen classic indeed

That’s music (pun not intended) to my ears! Last time I saw Colin was at an Immersion show in 2017 I think and he was unequivocal about Githead being over. “We had a good run”, he said.

Curious, but when did you start playing guitar? Was it your first instrument?
norhal.bsky.social
And finally we have liftoff! Now we keep our fingers crossed for a physical release

I like how the article is titled “what’s wrong with being sexy?”. NOTHING, BUBBA!!!! YOU BE AS SEXY AS YOU WANT!!!!

There’s new Githead music?!! That’s incredible news! I’m the biggest Githead fan ever (just ask Colin - I’ve been going on about it to him for 20 years now). Was just listening to “This Is A Cause” and now the aforementioned “”Headgit”. Sublime guitar playing.

One of the biggest musical surprises for me was learning you played guitar in 2004 when the first Githead ep was released, as I’d known your work primarily through your first 4 Scanner albums. And quite a pleasant surprise too - your guitar playing is fantastic. Meshed beautifully with Colin’s
