Sounds crazy, he lost two UK general elections, had some of the lowest leader polling in history, he had so little appeal he took no.of Lab MPs back to 1935 after his disastrous Brexit & 2019 challenge to Boris Bonkers. But far left are never happier the when they are both performative & powerless.

I dont think Sir Keir Srarmer is 'odious'. He devoted himself to public service. He has working class background that yes makes him too humble to shouty far right public school boys who run UK media etc . Yes he's not got that most Brits are appalled at the unrelenting Gaza genocide.

And any change they make like big increases in minimum wages,public service pay,more retention of nurses or less teachers leaving, or investment in transport,infrastructure,homes,planning, increase scans for urgent cases etc., they can't communicate! They cannot sell themselves,AWOL on broadcasting

The FT is one of the best newspapers we have. Its generally progressive in outlook, liberal and forward thinking on most issues. Compared to the foreign owned right wing agenda of the Times or Telegraph. Meanwhile, yes, Guardian is OK but is less on economics, international or leans too far left.

Moreover this Lab government & wider party have no grasp of media,its media hostility,of a change narrative. Lab has a dull image not using its 400 MPs or any creatives. 3 things about Lab no one seems to get compared to tough men like Trump,Farage or Carney. Media,media or media. Burnham gets it.

There are others, with Andy Burnham, standing head on shoulders.UK working class feel betrayed in the 2nd most unequal society in Europe.Keir has been too cautious,led by McSweeney with too much London elitism. Of course 14 Tory yrs led to serious UK inequality but working class woke up to no change

Rarely hear any Lab people on media but for Tories having won 2010,2015,2017,2019 always use to flood media. And Lab face hostile BBC,hate Mail,Depress,Murdoch's Times,Sun,Sunday Times, & far right Telegraph.

Lab need to hire some creatives, advertisers,good PR ppl & get Media is now everything!

Labour far too soft with Farage & his Brexit legacy.
Failed to associate his policies with Tory neo liberal decline, with the neo Fascist in US, & no chance high UK inequality will erode with Reform. Look at Carney, tough leader whose denounced Trump. Keir's has too humble approach to the RW media

Note, that max £40K per couple saved on ISAs can be every year & dividends & growth is tax free. Mean while the cleaner is paying 20% tax on her wages.

That will help a little but to get things moving we will need other tax changes too such as higher council taxes on top property or higher tax on unearned income.
Get's me how rich couples can put 40k away on ISA shares (untaxed) or highest paid get 40% to 45% tax relief on tax contributions.

Absolutely Tony,GB, PeterM ,Alastair Campbell took onTory public school boys,their media with expertise,strategy & guts.Murdoch media now moved Right Wing like Mail,Telegraph,our funded BBC. This lot have 401 MPs, they fled up M6 this summer,as Farage ran BBC.

I think you're correct. To be fair they face a nasty media. The far right Daily Mail attack Lab everyday, ignore the good things. The broadcasters pick up the right wing agenda & ignore the reforms. BBC is a Farage love in, was during Brexit vote. So this Lab party lacks guts,has no media presence

So if you're living in one of the most unequal socities in Europe,20 yrs behind on female cancer survival compared to Sweden,Norway, Denmark,more child poverty,elderly after Tory 14 yrs live less longer,highest Uni fees in the West,poor communities far from rich SE.Lets keep UK well behind EU on tax

And yes they're not reaching out to working class away from the M25 'magic money roundabout'.They lack the historic Labour struggle of making life less hard for those in the regions.They obsess on stuff that doesn't impact those less paid in this 2nd most unequal society in Europe.Too London centric

Well they're delivering somethings like faster appts at hospital, healthcare funding,increased wages for teachers, nurses,police etc, more spending on infrastructure,schools,homes,green tech, community services. But they can't communicate, they are media shy, lack big hitters,too humble,no narrative

Just look at expansion of the Triangle - Oxford Milton Keynes Cambridge. And Manchaster's economic growth from many Univs situated there. Money & Jobs follows good grads, innovation & good infrastructure.

OK,I can't resist one more point & I believe it's coming from right-wing media,which daily, deliberately,reduces Lab to Keir Starmer - 1 leader easy to demonise but actually Labour Movement in power is 400 more MPs + Co-op+ Trade Unions + membership/activists. So give it to May: ask King of North.

Yes, I can't believe BBC allowed to be so Neo Fascist Reform given there only 0.06% of MPs compared to 82% of MPs representing progressive MPs.
Time some of those like 401 Lab ones stopped hiding away in school yard & Mr McSweeney needs to let them swamp media like Tories did for 14 yrs.

P.S.The 2nd New Lab Tony Blair govt also a landslide & more Tory seats went Lab I recall.
